Professor Ishmael Palin, the scientist leading research into the Unknown Artefacts, has announced plans to establish a new research outpost on Maia B1 BA in the Maia system. The confederation of Dahan, on behalf of Professor Ishmael Palin, has issued a request for evacuation shelters, which will form the basis of the new outpost.

My thinking here relates to the background simulation and the possible future mechanic of outpost expansion on planets, or building new bases say Sirius inc in the future in automatic expansion on planets
Now based on the above it would seem that evacuation shelters delivered to related settlements at some point may be required to build or expand planet side bases. So if we can find a way to incorporate into our planetary bases under Sirius inc and Sirius hyperspace systems ( t least until Sirius inc has a planet to expand into) trade runs delivering evac shelters to markets under our control that have them as a demand.
San and Ngalia (green enterprise) i believe ship them out, and there's at least one colony in Ngalia at the moment that has demand for them. It might not be very profitable but if we can do it in bulk at least 1 or 2 runs per member with horizons per week. And when i get back from the wilds, i will do as many as i can to see if any Background simulation reacts in any way. It might just go towards system booms / expansions
It is most likely something that influences the development index at a local minor faction level.
