Selous Horizons, San - Thousands of people, including CEO Ollobrains and his security entourage, have gathered at Selous Memorial (h)Park for a somber occasion: the mass funeral of 37 SSA (San System Authority) officers. These brave pilots fell in the line of duty; the vast majority were slain by one vicious celebrity stalker. The (h)Park, with a capacity of 1300, was completely filled. CEO Ollobrains declined to speak, but his itinerary (now heavily redacted) suggests that he already visited most grieving spouses/families last week. CEO job-approval ratings have dipped slightly, but Ollobrains still enjoys majority support of SINC Stakeholders. SSA, and elements of the Federal Navy Auxiliary, are actively searching for CMDR ******* (the failed assassin of CEO Ollobrains).
Selous Horizons, San - The newly formed "Opposition Alliance" has denounced CEO Ollobrains for his "...lax immigration polices, autocratic management style, and cronyism". The alliance consists of San Exchange (SE), San Bureau (SB) and Green Party of San (GPS). The Office of CEO could not be reached for comment. However, a highly placed source has revealed (on condition of anonymity) that SINC will conduct several (non-binding) polls this month.
Freelance Report: Collaborative Effort to Restore Ackerman Market
Ackerman Market in Eravate is just one of the stations affected by the plague. Before it was shut down it was a popular rest stop for Commanders embarking on new careers in space. Just a few days ago its commodities market reopened, and a huge demand for meta-alloys has been reported.
Responding to this, an alliance comprising Commanders Kermit Laphroaig, ThatDamnRanga, Ollobrains, Zenith Ddraiglas and others has formed, which hopes to saturate the market at Ackerman with meta-alloys so the starport can be restored to working order.
A joint statement reads:
"Everyone wants Ackerman online, so we're putting aside our differences to make it happen. We hope Commanders of all allegiances will join us in this collaborative effort, which starts immediately and will run until the station is operational again."
A recent document leak from within the Office of CEO has prompted review of SINC security... both protocol & personnel. While the documents leaked may appear harmless (or even humorous), please note that sensitive information (of value to foreign intelligence agencies) is routinely shared in non-classified messages. As the Earth saying goes: Loose lips sink ships! Let's not sink SINC, or SINC ships...
For most of his term as CEO, CMDR Ollobrains has been physically absent from San. While unbeknownst to the majority of SINC Stakeholders, this information is not classified. Thanks to social media (and poor impulse control by CMDR Ollobrains), most of us know about his latest expedition. Ollo reached Sagittarius A* more than 2 months ago, but failed to return home on schedule.
On 5/5/3302, SINC experienced a breakdown in communication... and CMDR Ollobrains triggered the remote deletion of key files. SINC civil servants are still attempting to re-construct and re-contextualize the fragmented archives. As for CMDR Ollobrains, he resigned (by way of public announcement) within hours of the "incident". It now seems possible (even probable) that he was suffering from exhaustion, UA radiation sickness, or deep space psychosis.
